Jamal Liggin | Founder , Director of JLT Performance Gym

Born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Oakland California coach Liggin comes from a track and field / football background. He now resides in Los Angeles California where he has opened JLT Performance Gym. With a growing popularity and consistent public interest Jamal Liggin has a unique voice within the sports performance and fitness industry. JLT’s influence and audience goes beyond the world of professional sports and touches in an array of categories; which includes everything from business through the entertainment industry.

Coach Liggin specializes in improving speed, acceleration and movement. This in turn has helped hundreds of professional and collegiate athletes take their game to insurmountable levels. 

Over the course of his career he has trained numerous NFL 1st round draft picks as well as early round draftees who have come out of his customized NFL Combine prep program. This program continues to grow  as more and more top tier athletes pile in looking to enhance their overall athletic ability. 


Liggin has a proven track record of successfully endorsing and promoting various brands across pop-culture and fitness. Liggin has played a key role in elevating brands such as Tidl and Blazepod. JLT has also served as a staple for industry leaders such as Nike, SleepNumber, and Gatorade.

Coach Liggin is constantly featured in various main-stream media publications, and most recently just completed filming NFL Network’s newest show “Gaining Greatness”. The results that his clients produce in their respected sports; causes the public to always take an interest in what JLT is doing for their clients. JLT has been featured on NFL Network, ESPN, Men’s Fitness, several publications worldwide

Liggin has expanded his performance coaching into the world of international soccer, and have trained top soccer players from leagues within Europe and the Middle East/North Africa. Liggin currently works with Real Madrid CF and has a played a key role in the formation of NFL Africa’s Athlete Academy.
